Chiang mai smog today

Chiang Mai Air Quality Index (AQI) is now Unhealthy. Get real-time, historical and forecast PM2. Air quality and pollen information for over 1countries in the world.

For the capital, the poor air quality that ignited public response for January, has returned. Is it safe to say the worst is over for this year? Chiang Rai Air Quality Index (AQI) is now Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.

Read the air pollution in Chiang Rai, Thailand with AirVisual. Screenshot: Air Visuals. But the slimmest of silver linings (if you can even consider it that) is that Bangkok is at number in the AQI world ranking today.

This happens every year towards the end of the dry season, between February and April and is largely attributable to slash-and-burn farming methods. CMU’s Legal Research and Development Centre says that in the face of such serious air pollution , government agencies should start handing out free protective masks to people. Having clean cars will also provide cleaner air. A motorist who managed to drive his car off the road in San Sai today , April has said that smog was to blame. Today is a bad air day in Bangkok aswell.

The smog crisis, however, is expected to take a toll on the tourism industry before. The Thai-Myanmar Joint Border Committee will convene a meeting in Chiang Rai’s Mae Sai district to discuss the smog problem today. The air pollution in this district stood at 2micrograms of particulate matter per cubic metre of air yesterday. The particulate matter is less than less than microns in diameter (PM10).

The other two, however, can frankly be quite terrible. Just compare the two photos below of Doi Suthep taken from the same vantage point—one during the rainy season and the other at the height of burning season smog. What is the cause of the air pollution ? Today the PMis dangerously high at 191.

At certain times of the year the air quality rises to hazardous levels and many call for action. Following on from last week’s raised levels of air pollution caused mainly by forest and rice field burning, there was no sign of relief for resident in the north. Thick smog in the North, bad air in Bangkok. Thick, unhealthy smog continues to plague much of the North, with the worst pollution in Lampang province, and Bangkok residents were afflicted by. Northerners urged to stay indoors.

Mae Taeng this morning March 1 some of the highest levels in years. Pavin Chamniprasart responded by filing. The Thai prime minister has given authorities a week to solve the problem.

The idea incorporates “Clean Rooms” where pollutants are filtered out, ensuring the air inside is safe to breathe. According to a Bangkok Post article trash burning was to blame for the miasma that consumed Chiang. Air pollution is not an issue for most of the year, only during the hot season.

If you are healthy and use protective measures, a short exposure to air pollution should not hurt you. When I first arrive people told me that the foul air pollution of March and April was slowly being counteracted by public and private action and policy. Unfortunately, pollution has become absolutely unacceptable there over that time.

Answer of 18: Hi All. I understand the weather will likely be warming up even more. That sai I am curious to know what the skies are like in January and February. I just want to warn anyone that’s coming here that, although depends on the day, air pollution can be pretty bad this month and next.

It’s 5on USAQI index today , which is considered.
