The idea of using coconut oil on oily skin is meant to train the skin in a way that it begins to produce less oil on its own. However, you must not use more than the recommended amount of coconut oil as it can clog the pores. Coconut oil has skin calming and anti-microbial properties. It is also a natural skin hydrator, which prevents drying and excess sebum production, the reason for clogged pores. Step 1- In a bowl, add tablespoon of turmeric powder followed by coconut oil enough to make a paste.

I used my homemade virgin coconut oil as a base. You can also use store bought virgin coconut oil. Make turmeric paste by rubbing an organic turmeric against a coarse stone. Heat the homemade virgin coconut oil in a pan slightly and add the turmeric paste. It also is a natural skin hydrator that prevents drying and excess sebum production.


Turmeric - Turmeric has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps unclog pores and help banish present acne and also prevent future breakouts. The vitamin E, lauric acid and anti-oxidant properties in the coconut oil combine with anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial turmeric and vitamin B in the honey to heal, replenish, brighten and smooth skin all at the same time. The coconut oil helps in moisturizing skin and hydrating skin and thus enhancing skin tightening.


Research shows that the coconut oil helps in protecting the skin from the harmful sun rays which can cause skin damage. Plus, it helps in the regeneration of healthy skin. Mix ½ a teaspoon of turmeric powder with enough milk to make a paste.


Apply this paste on the affected skin and allow it to dry on its own. Then rinse it off using cool water. Alternatively, mix teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1½ teaspoons of coconut oil to form a paste. As long as you are using a small amount with a good carrier oil such as coconut or olive oil , you have absolutely nothing to worry about, of course, this requires that your skin is not sensitive, or allergic to turmeric , in this case, you need to stay away from using turmeric directly on your skin , this also applies to using turmeric products.
